The Prime Health Challenge was started in 2014 to galvanize the burgeoning digital health ecosystem in Colorado and accelerate the adoption of digital health technologies ―including patient engagement apps, data analytics and virtual care technologies, among others―oriented toward achieving the “Triple Aim” of improved patient experience, improved population health and lower costs. The 3-month program, powered by The Colorado Health Foundation, validates companies based on business and clinical rubrics in order to identify the most commercial-ready solutions. Industry experts provide feedback and mentorship to digital health companies seeking to pilot their products with local healthcare institutions. The program concludes with a “shark-tank” style event, where finalists companies pitch their products live in front of a panel of healthcare executives from healthcare institutions across the State and an audience of hundreds to win a portion of the prize funding and the opportunity to pilot their product at one of the healthcare institutions.
This year’s application window will open April 16, 2018 – May 18, 2018.
